The company offers three different types of hosting: – web hosting, reseller hosting and vps hosting. All three have a series of different plans tailored to your individual requirements and they all include a full support system.

The web hosting plans start from just under four dollars per month, providing you sign up for 3 years. The shorter the time period you subscribe for, the higher the monthly subscription. The cheapest plan offers you just one domain whereas, for a little more money per month you can have unlimited domain names on your account. All of the plans offer you a choice of a shared or dedicated server. Obviously a dedicated server is better for you if your website experiences vast amounts of traffic. However, you can expect to pay between one hundred and forty and three hundred dollars per month on top of your hosting plan.

All of their plans include access to a free site builder which is worth its weight in gold. They include over four thousand five hundred different templates for you to use, making it simple to get your website up and running very quickly. They also offer a free domain transfer service, unlimited bandwidth and disk space and guarantee uptime of over ninety nine percent.

They also offer a service called reseller hosting. Basically you purchase services and a certain amount of space from a hosting company. You can then start up your own web hosting company and sell the space on, hopefully for a profit. Hostgator charge between twenty and eighty dollars per month, depending on how much space you want to buy from them. All of their plans include unlimited domains and a full support service.

The final service they offer is VPS hosting. A VPS is a Virtual Private Server which is split up into space for hundreds of different sites to use at the same time. This is ideal if you are a small business or have a single website to host. Hostgator offer nine different levels of VPS hosting, depending upon how much space and the speed you require for your site or business. They do make a charge of fifteen dollars for registration of each domain name though, on top of a monthly charge ranging between sixteen dollars and a whopping two hundred and ten dollars per month.

All in all, whilst maybe not the cheapest hosting site on the internet, conversely they are not the most expensive either. They offer a multitude of different services and plans to suit you, whatever your requirements. Their support service offers a library of video tutorials and help articles and they also offer an on-line live chat facility. On the whole they look to be an excellent contender for the web hosters’ top spot and represent excellent value for money.
