The Internet Revolution

The  Internet era has created a whole new dimension to the world of Network Marketing and MLM. The information age has started a shift in the way network maketing was done in the past towards new methods that can eliminate the ineffectiveness of these old methods. As we move from the old school methodology of network marketing to the new school, we see many of these traditional MLM theories become obsolete.

In the past, network marketing was carried out using primitive methods which resulted in the 95% failure rate of this industry. Very few people are able to succeed in this business  which places so much emphasis on the networking aspect while leaving out the all important marketing aspect of the business.

Distributors were encouraged to rope in the warm market and when all contacts were exhausted, they were told to reach out to the masses by doing cold-calling, getting prospects to attend 3-way telephone calls, hotel meetings, seminars, etc. Most distributors are uncomfortable with these methods and even more 'prospects' shun these distributors when approached. This creates a lose-lose situation for everybody and Network Marketing became a dreaded concept.

The birth of the internet breathes new life to the network marketing world. With the internet marketing tools available today, distributors are able to reach out to the masses using the internet as a platform to market their product.
