After getting a
website editor of your choice, be it Xsitepro or
SiteBuiltIt or Kompozer, the next thing that come into the
picture is an FTP program. This is important because after you
have created your website, the next obvious thing to do is to
put it up live on the internet. And the FTP program is the
medium of transporting your website files from your personal
computer to the host server.
Both Xsitepro
and Kompozer have their own built-in FTP feature that takes
care of this. But and this is a BIG BUT, knowing how to make
use of an FTP program to transfer files to your host server is
crucial in your internet marketing business. While these
built-in programs make it easier to transfer website files, you
will also need to transfer other files e.g. your digital
products, ebooks, videos, etc, to be accessed for downloading
when your customers' purchase your products. This will require
your understanding of how to access your host server, setting
up connection, logging in, transferring files to your
server and performing other tasks like changing file
attributes, etc.
All FTP
programs work pretty much the same way. Filezilla is a
popular FTP program that is free and I will make use of
it to show you how an FTP program works. You can
